I have two challenges for this card - once in a while two challenges actually fit !
365 Cards had a blog hop vintage recipe card due today - this consisted of finding the ten items during a week long blog hop. Lots and Lots of fun there !
The ingredients were:

Button - check
Lace - check
Stick Pin - check, Gloria taught me how to do this !!
Dimensional sticker - check, white bird
Die Cut - check, metal tree
Stamp - check, on tag

Very challenging to put everything in there !
My second challenge submission is at the Kraft Journal, where we can enter anything with Kraft cardstock. This is a brand new challenge, and comes from one of my favorite suppliers, and that is Kraft Outlet. This whole card was inspired by that one little tag envelope I purchased there.

Good morning to you !!
The winner of the prize for stopping at my blog (and following my directions !!) is
Thank you all for participating in the Papercraft Star Thanksgiving hop - we have really enjoyed meeting you and hearing your stories.

I am so very excited to be the Guest Designer this week at City Crafter Challenge !! I have played at this challenge blog A LOT - and the lovely ladies who make up their design team are wonderful !!
Kirsty has chosen the city theme of Seattle, and some coffee cups as inspiration.
I love Seattle ! In fact I lived in Bellevue, one of Seattle's bedroom communities during my high school years.
This is one beautiful city - water to the right and water to the left, floating bridges (much more scary to look at than to cross, honestly), the Space Needle, Mount Rainier, and so much of the old city has been saved. Of course, everyone thinks of the rain !! Yes, it does rain a bit in Seattle, but in actuality, Portland Oregon gets far more rain each year and somehow escaped the bad reputation.
Part of why I love the rain so much is that I grew up in Vancouver BC, and then Washington - and when it rains it takes me right back to those beautiful incredible places.
Coffee - of course, one of Seattle's most notable industries !
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving week, and take a few minutes to head on over to City Crafter and play with us !!
Cardstock - Recollections, Bazzill
Paper - DCWV
Letter tag paper - Paper Pizazz
Large brown brad - MME
Coffee image - Google images
Ribbon and small black brads - stash
Awoke this morning to snow - which I know is no big deal in the midwest, but here, wow. No snow removal equipment in our town, since it does snow so seldom. So, since I cannot make it out to the scrap stores, I must nap !!
This is a submission to 365 Cards, for their sketchy Sunday this week.
One wonderful thing about 365 Cards (of many wonderful things !) is that I have made some lovely friends there. I met an amazing artist at 365 Cards, who turned out to live less than 3 miles from my house !! What are the chances !!
Susan had me to her very cool retro 50's home for lunch this past week, where she fixed me a scrumptious omelet, and muffins - and of course we talked cards ! Oh my, she has some real art in her work, so detailed, so very interesting, all the little nuances.
Susan spent time helping me learn how to stamp a little better, and here are the results, at least so far ! It is only fitting I submit it to 365 Cards, right ?
And again - thank you Susan for the super meal and fellowship, and the stamping knowledge tossed in too ! Stop over and visit her blog - you will be so very glad you did.

I just haven't made enough Christmas cards yet ! Oddly, I have Christmas paper to supply an entire scrap shop, but once again, I use something else. Alas, oh alas...
365 Cards is in the midst of a wonderful vintage blog hop, with lots of cool things going on. Today Gloria has given us a hat pin requirement. I used a Tim Holtz pin, and filled it with glitter and Glossy Accents, just like Gloria taught me to do a couple of months ago !
Lots of stickles and glitter, and I made my own bingo card. I have a standard plain bingo card I made in Excel, and all I do is change up the colors, the font, and the sentiment - and voila - it is done. No one has noticed it is always the same numbers, right ?? lol

Where is the time going ? I haven't done nearly as many cards as I would have liked, ok, like only about 10% of what I want to do !! So, today I decided to visit a site that Tracy frequents each week, Tuesday Taggers, and their challenge is to use one of the words, Peace, Joy or Love. This is my first visit to Tuesday Taggers, and I hope I can return often !!
Maybe some snow tonight or tomorrow night here in the Willamette Valley - that is most unusual for us, not just this time of year, but any year !! Ok, well we do get snow maybe every other year for a day...
Things are bustling around here, getting ready for Thanksgiving, and then CHRISTMAS !! We have done a little bit of shopping already, and have been having such a good time planning our parties and trees. Today I made some almond rocca - everyone's favorite candy. YUM !

Another week at Papercraft Star, and here is what I have this time. The challenge was tough, a lot of things on it, bling, a handmade embellishment, a ribbon, a die cut, a Christmas tree - whew !!
I don't usually tell you a whole lot about my cards, since they are pretty obvious (I think) but this time ....
Our sponsor this whole month has been Kraft Outlet, and do I ever love these products !! Today I used quite a bit of it.
The "tag" envelope is actually one of their envelopes, just sealed, then cut very close to the left side. I punched part of a circle into it. Luckily that gorgeous postcard, also from Kraft Outlet, fit in it perfectly !!
I scored the background paper with my wonderful MS scorer, love that puppy. The handmade embellishment is the flower I die-cut from TH's flower die-cut - two requirements in one !! Hey, wait a minute - and bling in the center, that makes three in one !!
The postcard I put a "stamp" (aka, rub-on) on, doesn't it look so real. And I filled in the words Post Card in bronze glitter pen. Stuck a little bling brad on top the top, and hand wrote the message.
Everything I double inked, first with the Ranger Mustard Seed, followed by Ranger Vintage Photo.
I spent a lot of time thinking about this particular challenge, and a lot more time playing with it!
It looks fairly simple and straight forward after all of that, but I hope you like it ! One of my most favorite Christmas cards EVER !!
Challenge is open now, until noon on Saturday - I would love to see what you do with this one !!

This offer from Kraft Outlet is so exciting that we also wanted to give you a special treat from Papercraft Star as well! A fantastic tutorial using Kraft Outlet products!
The tutorial, created by our Senior DT member, Tracy, is for a Christmas scrapbook mini album based on a design by Laura Dennison. Information about her YouTube channel can be found in the video. The album was created with several products carried by our November Design Team sponsor, Kraft Outlet, owned by Babette Switzer. The first video is a step-by-step tutorial for the actual construction of the album. The second is a more detailed page by page look at the completed album. The Kraft Outlet products used in this album made it's construction a breeze. We encourage you to visit the store and browse through the great crafty items Babette has in stock and don't forget to enter STAR15 at checkout to receive your 15 percent off discount... pass the word!

Ok, a big bunch of stuff here today, huh !
First, my fall tree is up and lit. I apologize for the lousy picture, but I really need my bff who is an excellent photographer to come over and take a good photo for me.
Rufina, my bff for many many years, is preparing for her only daughter's wedding on Saturday, and she has more important things on her mind. But I will get her over here so you can see how pretty this really is.
So, this is my very first mini, and it turned out pretty ok. I made it of course, for Rufina's daughter, and I hope she will love it as much as I loved making it for her.
I told my pal Ira today I was totally stealing her idea for a little scroll - I just didn't know I would do it this soon ! The wedding invitation was vellum, well the inside was, and I rolled it up and put it on the cover. Thanks, Ira !! It sure added a lot of personalization I think.
There are some tags I didn't pull out to photograph, as I knew this would be a picture heavy post, but if you know me, you know there is often a hidden tag somewhere !!
Have a wonderful day !!

Papercraft Star 21 is OPEN !!!
I completely and totally loved working with the Kraft Outlet goodies - the matting and the wonderful little tag are beautiful quality.
What a challenge this week, taking that beautiful photo of a summer cottage and trying to turn it into a Christmas or holiday card. I think I succeeded !
The embossed brr and snowman were both cut out from a Cuttlebug folder.
I also used a Cuttlebug folder, swiss dots, on the tag envelope.
This card just tickled me, and I think it was because the challenge was quite difficult in my mind, and I felt pretty darned good about how it turned out.
You can enter your submission at Papercraft Star, right NOW ! Submissions close on Saturday at noon.
Be sure to join us on the Papercraft Message Board too.
And the teeny print will follow !
Kraft Outlet - tag, matting

Papercraft Star 20 opens today with a Simon Says card, and some fun stuff from our sponsor all month, Kraft Outlet. You will be seeing lots of tags and "krafty" (ooooo, that one hurt) things I made from their totally cool products.
Base 4.5 x 5.5
Double Mat #1: cut at 3 3/8 x 4 5/8
with another color cut at 3 1/4 x 4 1/4
Double Mat #2: cut at 2 3/4 x 4
with another color cut at 2 3/4 x 2 1/2
Add Punch or Die Cut
(Add anything else you would like to add)
The card itself I made from Kraft Outlet cardstock, and then stamped all over it. I cut the flower from regular Kraft paper, with SCAL flower cuts, and stamped all over them too ! The Tim Holtz hat pin is his regular hat pin, with a piece of bling inside.
How to do that ? Lay down a jewel, put the pin on top, and fill around the edges with Ranger Glossy Accents. You must leave it alone for awhile, and I do mean hours, but you can put anything inside those pins if you use the Glossy Accents around it. Simple, but some patience required !!
If you like to do a lot of little fussy things, then this is the card for you !!
Hope you found something here today. Link up your submissions at Papercraft Star between now and Saturday noon Eastern (US). Hope to see you on the message boards at Papercraft Star too !! AND
our DT call ends on 11/5 - we would love to hear from you. (yes YOU)

I do love playing at 365 Cards, but haven't had the time or energy lately - so today I told myself I would make a card for today, no matter what the challenge was !
Well, that brings me to this oddity... The challenge was "MINT" and you were supposed to use the first thing that came into your head. Get it yet?
Last night on Wordracer at Yahoo I found the word REMINTED for mega points, and reminted only means one thing to me, $$$$$$$$$$$$$. So, of course the first thing that popped into my head when I thought mint, was where the $$ comes from ! I am totally and completely certain that Pam did not intend this interpretation, but it is what it is. I say that often.
So I did a card that could be used for just about anything I think, of course money holder is always a gift that doesn't come often enough to me !! The rattlesnake paper - in the DCWV Weathered and Worn book - I had never dreamed I would ever have a reason to use it, but a wallet it is ! Spencer already had the other snake page from the book, since he loves to make his "cards" and I knew he would appreciate it.
So, here I am, completely without snake paper now. What a tragedy.
Thanks to all of you for the prayers and thoughts for both my father, and for me. He is almost 94 and was supposed to be on his deathbed, but .... well let us put it this way, I don't think he wanted to miss a meal !!! He ate his whole breakfast and may have a bit longer on this earth. He is a man of faith, and has no fear of death - a comfort to know he will not die afraid.
